Horn Pond is one of the heaviest fished areas in the state. Horn Pond is a public water supply that is stocked each year by the Massachusetts Fish and Games. Each spring and again in the fall the Massachusetts Department of Fish and Games stocks Horn Pond with Rainbow Trout and Brood stock Salmon when available.

Horn pond has an average water depth from 5' to 45'. The average species found here are Rainbow Trout, Brook Trout, Brood stock Salmon, Chained Pickerel, Carp, White and Yellow Perch, Sunfish, Horn Pouts.

Horn Pond has a boat ramp located on Beacon street, just off Arlington street. Non-Gas powered boats Allowed.. The entire area consists of about 102 acres and most of the waterways are available for shore fishing. The main parking lot located off Pond street is open from sun up to sun set, and boats must be removed by 8pm.

For fly Fisherman, one of the best areas is the old Foley Beach area just north of the dam. One of the best areas for trout and bass is at the crossover which is located at the back of the pond.

This little island has a storied past. it was once much bigger than it is today. It once was home to a bowling alley as Horn Pond was one of the Boston areas first tourist destinations on the Middlesex Canal.
